The Albany Unified School District Board of Education will hold a Special Meeting with a Study Session on Budget Development and Strategic Planning on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend in person or participate virtually via Zoom.
The primary focus of the meeting will be a study session on budget development and strategic planning, intended to support Board learning and discussion. The session will provide an overview of how school funding works in California and how Albany Unified develops its annual budget, including timelines and the impact of enrollment and funding trends on District resources. The discussion will also connect budget planning to student outcomes and the District’s emerging Graduate Profile, and preview key spring planning activities and longer-term financial planning.
