Summer School will run June 15 through July 14, 2026.
For Summer 2026, AUSD is planning to offer the following free summer programs to help all students achieve their fullest potential.
- High School Credit Recovery and Acceleration Program
- English Language Development (ELD) Summer Bridge Program for ELD students in 4th–8th grade
- Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP), an invitation-only program for underserved students in Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grade.
-
Albany High School students will be able to participate in our High School Credit Recovery and Acceleration Program for mathematics, English, and social sciences. Based on last year’s data, we expect to have about 120 students participate in this free program.
-
The ELD Summer Bridge Program for Elementary and Middle School students will be offered to students in our English Language Development (ELD) Programs at Cornell, Ocean View and Marin Elementary Schools currently enrolled in 4th or 5th grades, as well as AMS students in 6th through 8th grades.
-
The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) will be a free program serving approximately 150 students in TK–6th grades. Students will be provided a morning snack, lunch, and an afternoon snack between learning activities each day. This is an invitation-only program, based on the student's status as:
- Qualified for free or reduced price lunch (Although all school meals are now free to all, the state still depends on this identification to qualify students for some programs and benefits, such as ELOP. Click on the link to fill out an application.);
- Unhoused or Foster Youth; and/or
- English Language Learners
AUSD families meeting these qualifications were sent applications in early spring. Spaces are extremely limited. If your 4th–6th grade English Learning Development (ELD) student is not accepted into ELOP, we encourage you to enroll them in the free ELD Summer Bridge Program described above.
