The first day of school is Wednesday, August 12, and we cannot wait to welcome our students back for the 2026–27 school year! Throughout the summer, our District Home Office team, custodial staff, and maintenance and grounds teams have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to prepare our classrooms, campuses, and systems for a strong start to the year. Their dedication and care help ensure that every student returns to safe, welcoming, and ready-to-learn schools. We look forward to another year of learning, growth, and new opportunities for every student.

Albany Unified is in the process of developing a Facilities Master Plan that will: Create a long-term vision for facilities upgrades throughout the District & identify priorities for immediate projects using Measure L bond funds.
