The community is invited to join the Albany Rotary Club, the City of Albany, and Albany Unified School District for the dedication of an International Peace Pole on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the corner of Solano Avenue and Cornell Avenue in Albany.

Held on the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, this ceremony offers an opportunity to reflect on the importance of peace, unity, compassion, and hope. The program will include remarks from community leaders, the dedication of the Peace Pole and commemorative plaque, and a moment of reflection.

The International Peace Pole bears the message "May Peace Prevail on Earth" in multiple languages and serves as a lasting symbol of friendship, understanding, and a shared commitment to building a more peaceful world.
